Exeter College holds an annual ‘Employer Apprenticeship Awards’ to celebrate their exceptional apprentices as well as honour the local employers that go above and beyond to encourage these individuals… This year we won!
The Mortgage Quarter is really proud of winning the 2021 Employer Apprenticeship awards and even prouder of our star apprentices, Ellie and Charlie. Both Ellie and Charlie have also won their own individual ‘Apprentice of the month’ awards this year too. This was earned by providing an outstanding contribution to their employer and excellence in business and professional services.
Having never previously employed apprentices within the business, we can safely say that the entire team has been blown away by the enthusiasm, professionalism, and initiative that both Ellie and Charlie have brought with them. Director, James Miles said, “Their determination and eagerness to learn was evident from the first day and we are positive that both Ellie and Charlie have a very successful career in financial services ahead of them.”
“The Mortgage Quarter is really proud of our recent Employer Apprenticeship award and even prouder of our star apprentices, Ellie and Charlie.”
Alongside Zoe, our Administrator, the trio ensures that everything in the office runs like clockwork and will be the friendly faces you see when you visit the office for a mortgage appointment.
When asked for his comments, Charlie said, “Everyone at TMQ made me feel like part of the team from the moment I arrived. James and Michael, the directors, have looked after Ellie and I as apprentices and showed major interest in our development and training with regular training sessions, whilst always encouraging us along the way. With practically zero knowledge of the industry going into the role we have progressed massively taking on more responsibility regularly. Having also both won ‘Apprentice of the Month’ awards with Exeter College, this is not just down to our hard work and determination but the backing of our employers we work for. Having also impressed along the way we have been guaranteed roles after our apprenticeships which isn’t necessarily guaranteed and it shows their interest in us looking forward into the future.”
