Welcome to The Mortgage Quarter
We're a mortgage broker, who since 2018 have been helping our clients realise their property dreams by getting them the mortgage they need to enable their purchase.
Colleagues and friends James Miles and Michael Tilston launched The Mortgage Quarter in 2018 after 10 years of working at Halifax and Lloyds Banking Group. We were inspired to make our services accessible to all and focused on the customer’s needs rather than the interests of the shareholders. At The Mortgage Quarter, we welcome all clients and strive to get the best outcome for every single one.
We assist all house buyers, from first-time buyers to home movers, luxury home buyers, the self-employed and property investors, so whatever your property purchase, we can help. You’ll find us friendly, welcoming, and the opposite in approach to the archetypal “stuffy” mortgage broker.
If you’re seeking an adviser that genuinely loves their work and won’t rest until they’ve exhausted every avenue for you, you’ve come to the right place. Our 300+ five-star Google reviews are a testament to our tenacious and conscientious approach, and we’ve helped many clients achieve the seemingly impossible. So, before you give up hope of securing a mortgage, give us a call. If we can’t get a mortgage for you, you probably shouldn’t have one!
When we’re not finding and arranging mortgages, we do what we can to support the local community. This year we’ve adopted the Starfish Appeal at the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital as our charity of the year. We’re raising funds from various activities, including a quiz night, a team skydive and a Christmas toy collection. You can follow our antics on our social media accounts (you’ll find the links in the footer).
Because we play by the book we want to tell you that...
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
There may be a fee for mortgage advice. The actual amount you pay will depend upon your circumstances.
The fee is up to 1%, but a typical fee is 0.3% of the amount borrowed.
